Bags for Breast Cancer 1
Mike's mother and her family immigrated to America because of breast cancer. Grandma was treated in Korea but was told if it was to return, they wouldn't be able to treat it. So grandpa moved her, my mother and her two brothers to Detroit, where they knew only one person and couldn't speak the language.
Mike's mother years later was diagnosed with breast cancer and beat it. After remission, it returned, and she fought and beat breast cancer again.
To date, Mike's work has raised $190,000 for breast cancer research through the auction of his artwork for Uncork for a Cure and the American Cancer Society.
20% of the net proceeds from these handbags will be donated to Komen to support awareness, research, and the fight against breast cancer.
