New work made for my solo show at the Detroit Athletic club titled "To be Present: With and Without Permission". These works continue my journey inward, but also reflectant of time being spent in LA. The color palette for this work is inspired by the natural tones found on mountain hikes.
 
Nature doesn't ask for permission.  It is, or it isn't. Humans, and how we participate in society operate a little differently, and this work continues my effort to feel comfortable showing up as my true self in an aspirational place like the DAC.
